Into the Wild After Dark: A Nocturnal Hike in Belize’s Jaguar Preserve

7 hours

Moderate

Experience the jungle come alive at dusk on this guided evening hike through the Jaguar Preserve. Enjoy a cool, scenic trek to a summit viewpoint with your guide by your side from start to finish.

This evening hike offers a well-paced and refreshing way to explore the Jaguar Preserve. Your guide will pick you up and stay with you throughout the experience, starting with a hike through the jungle to a scenic summit. From there, you’ll descend into a valley to visit a quiet waterfall — a great spot to pause and take in the natural surroundings.

After the waterfall, you’ll make your way back up to the summit, just in time to catch the sunset. A light dinner is included, giving you a chance to relax before the forest shifts into nighttime mode.

As the light fades, the night hike begins. The trail down gives you a chance to experience the jungle in a different way — guided by headlamp and surrounded by the sounds of nocturnal wildlife. It’s a calm, immersive experience that blends movement, nature, and a bit of adventure without being overly strenuous.
